Prashi’s first teeth, adventurous trips, and Diwali
These last few weeks have been both crucial and exciting for me. I’m getting my first teeth and everyone including me is excited about it. Ever since doctor allowed me to have more eatables besides regular milk, I’m tasting new delicacies and most of them taste good. Egg has been the mostly eaten item while Chachu made me taste some fish as well when I was there in Udaipur on Diwali.
And amid the soft and systematically observed life, we had some adventures as well. When grandpa was here during Navratri, we had gone to Shila Mata temple at Amer Jaipur. Dad was surprised when he had to drive on a literally vertical road. But he was good and very confident. It was difficult but he maintained the basics and we were through easily. I had Darshan and Aimy aunty was there as well with us and so was Kushal uncle.
Even while coming down, the road was no less than adventure. This time again Dad was perfect. Next we visited Galta ji when Naani was here for a week and Nanaji had come for the Karwa Chauth. It wasn’t planned that way but we reached Galta ji late evening when it was too dark. Surroundings were all frightening and it was growing cold as well. Dad, me, and Aimy aunt went up till the top of mountain when it was all dark and there were hundreds of monkeys playing around. I felt feared initially but Dad was confident that monkeys won’t hurt. I stayed with Naani while Dad, mom, and Aimy aunt went up. We also witnessed a lamp that was said to have been lighted for over 500 years. It was Hanuman ji’s temple. As we came out the priest warned us of hazards of dangerous animals like leopard and lions who come here to have water.
Everyone looked concerned and soon we were back to the car. Geting back till the port of call Ghaat Ke Balaji was equally difficult as there was deep silence and only one light was there that of our car. Dad drove us to the temple of Ghaat ke Balaji. There were vertically constructed steps. Mom and Nani looked uninterested in going up but then Dad promised that he will have a dinner outside and no one will have to work in kitchen that evening, all went up. All had tea, we had photo session and then we came down. We were home by 10 that evening. It was really scary at first sight but the trip in all was memorable.
Going to Udaipur was significant as I did my first ever Pooja. With that I also commenced and laid the foundation stone of a new floor grandpa is building in our ancestral property in Udaipur. Design and maps are ready and anytime the construction will begin.
On the day of Diwali chachu and chachi had planned a new movie in the PVR cinema of Udaipur. Dad and mom went too and I was left with grandma and grandpa. I was fine until they had watched more than half of the movie, then I didn’t let them see the climax and called them back. Dad and mom rushed back home.
This Diwali was little special for the family not just it was mine first but it was also the first celebrated by Anvi chachi. Last year due to sad demise of my younger grandpa, diwali was kept dark so Chachi’s first Diwali was celebrated with lot of fervor. Besides lot of lighting and decoration, chachu had brought a big bag of crackers. We all bursted them and I was happy as I already love the crackers and lights.
On the even of Dhanteras also Dad had brought some flower pots and sparkle sticks and I fired them with the help of mom. Actually mom was little scared of crackers so I had to hold her hands tight.
While I’ve got my teeth growing fast, I also have begun to walk a bit with the help of walker. Actually I push the walker forward with some force and when it gets into little speed, I lift my legs and it moves like a real car. That’s funny and everyone likes that.
Recently Grandma came to Jaipur with us for the week while Grandpa stayed back in Udaipur to get the required formalities completed for the construction could begin. Again next week Grandpa will be here while grandma will join her job in Udaipur.
All this while I have been in touch with Udaipur’s family while people from Delhi have been little far. They have been busy but I hope they will come soon. Rajiv nana & shashi nani had come earlier for a couple of days but that is never enough for me. I need you for at least one week. Actually it takes couple of days to get settle with anyone and that’s why I need people to be with me for longer period of time.
But you see even my mom and Dad meet me for few hours every week day. And mom who works so hard daily has to attend office even on Saturdays. I bear that all because she has promised me that she will be home forever after few weeks. Maybe she will quit the job and I will grow in her arms. Nothing could be better than that.
Today morning I fell from bed and I tell you it was fun. Though Mom had her heart in mouth but Grandma calmed her down and told her that this is normal with kids. Still she had asked Dad to shift the bed to another bedroom or we will sleep on floor from tonight. Love you mom.
Chalo I gotta go. I’ll have some food and then will sleep. I have to discus the novel of Dad with him tonight, OOOfff Life’s so busy!
